Full production of the Mauser Model HSc began in December 1940. HSc stands for Hahn Selbstspanner Pistole. Mauser-Werke began production at serial #700001, this is #700236. German production ended in the closing days of the War. The first 1345 off the production line have become known as the low grip screw (LGS) due to the position of the grip screw.
