Neat old 1873 Winchester 38-40 Rifle ser 265691B . Decent bore in the 28" Barrel, and action works smoothly, springs hold the lever up nice and tight, should still shoot OK, or would make a good Wall Hanger, has original rear sight, Dust cover. Just came from a Black Family out of North Louisiana, man said he + his father used to deer hunt with it, they removed buttplate to make stock shorter, some of the toe is missing , has rustic old nickle plated Brass patch on - getting thin forearm, scattered areas of rust, needs a good soaking + cleaning if one wishes to do so. A better forearm and stock would do wonders, course it has a lot of character as is. Bore and action are much better than the looks of this old rifle
