COLT .45 SAA Manf 1883 7+1/2 Barrel RENICKLED sent back to Colt for rebuild has been proofed to shoot smokeless powder Original Barrel was re rolldie marked with the markings of the time period it was reworked 1940's. Revolver locks up with nice tight like new action, When guns go back to Colt for complete rebuild all major parts were numbered with " 203 ",  the 7+1/2 original barrel has the last four dijits of the orig serial # as does the cylinder. The walnut grips show the last four dijits of serial #  penned in backstrap cut out, they were probably sanded at time of rebuild and are a little undersized the patent dates are missing as are the serials on backstrap  I would think the hammer, trigger, cyl pin and bushing, maybe springs were replaced during rebuild. Neat old gun with the history of going back to Colt for rebuild, could be used as is or restored to original
