1862 Richmond Confederate Rifle altered to 2 Band Still Rifled
$0.00
1862 untouched Richmond attic or barn condition came out of Oklahoma cut back to a 30" barrel 2 band. Notice nice dovetail front sight punch dots that held rear sight in place are visible, rear sight is missing. Bore rough but rifling sharp. 7 point star + rectangle carved in left side of stock, Indian? Lots of stock erosion behind nipple and lock. I removed lock plate,it was very filthy, never cleaned since time of use. Has earlier mainspring slotted at tip to hold original Richmond link made for maynard primer advancing arm, but hole never drilled. this was a period alteration with a little ingenuity. The hammer cocks and locks could use a good cleaning, it has a hair trigger, possibly for sharp shooting,
